Last weekend, the Opel Adam Cup was held as part of the Rally Germany. A huge public interest and an international starter field formed a worthy frame.
Supported by Irmscher Opel Adam, which is moved by Tom Kässer and co-driver Sebastian Glatzel of junior drivers, achieved by far the best result ever in the ADAC Opel Rally Cup. The 20-year-old from Winnenden in Swabia, who entered the Cup as the winner of the ADAC Opel Rallye Academy 2016, impressed co-driver Sebastian Glatzel with best times in the final Power Stage as well as the almost 42-kilometer special stage " armor plate ".
He did not know after crossing the finish line if he was only looking forward to second or even being annoyed about the victory he had just missed so slightly: "I gave it away yesterday with small mistakes. On the other hand, I'm really happy that we managed to get a clean river right from the beginning. From Saturday we were in the Top 10 in all tests, mostly in the Top 5. The best time on the Panzerplatte was of course a highlight. I was rather cautious to avoid tire damage. But maybe that was the right recipe. At the beginning of the season I had wished to be able to compete in the period of the ADAC Rallye Deutschland. It's great that it worked out that way. "
Great event - great setting - great result.
