The Irmscher Classics department is a long-term addition to their range and which is specifically dedicated to the preservation and distribution of young- and oldtimers in the Irmscher group of companies.

The legendary rear-wheel ratio 4:75 which can be installed on all Opel rear-wheel-drives of the 70/80 and large rear axles (not Ascona / Manta 400 / Commodore B), will be added to the Irmscher Classics program in limited edition.

The faster propulsion of the vehicle is immediately noticeable due to the changed and shorter gear ratio. This rear-axle transmission has been described in Opel Irmscher vehicles. For example in the runs for the European Rally Championship 1973 and 1974 they were very successful. The Opel / Irmscher Ascona A from rally legend Walter Röhrl who also won the championship was fitted with these rear-axle transmission. Drivers such as Sepp Haider in the Opel / Irmscher Kadett C or Jochi Kleint in the Opel / Irmscher Ascona B as well as many customer teams had numerous successes.

These newly developed parts were subjected to extensive tests and further development tests in various engine events. The introduction price is EUR 699.- per piece. More parts for the classic motorsport are already available and back in the program.
